Through these initiatives, we aim to empower individuals and communities, giving them the opportunity to live with dignity and hope.
Education and equality are also at the core of our work. We believe that everyone deserves access to quality education. To further our impact, we are committed to reducing inequalities by assisting marginalized groups—including those affected by poverty, displacement, and disasters—helping them rebuild their lives and find new opportunities.
At Pelita Hidup, we believe that charity is not just an obligation, but a shared responsibility. Impact Stories
Restoration of Dar Al Maamour Mosque and School in the Kingdom of Cambodia
Darul Ma’mur Mosque, located 55 km from Phnom Penh, has served over 3,259 Cambodian Muslims across 1,014 families for the past 30 years. Today, the mosque stands abandoned and unsafe, with a collapsing roof, cracked walls, and broken floors that forced prayers to stop for over a year.
Engineers confirm it can still be restored — but without urgent action, this vital symbol of Islam risks permanent closure and potential takeover.
Water for Life: Wells for a Better Future
In many remote parts of Africa, people still drink dirty water from ponds and rivers, leading to serious diseases like diarrhea and cholera. Women and children walk long distances every day just to collect a small amount of unsafe water. Our well-drilling project aims to give these communities clean, safe drinking water by building wells in the areas that need it most. Each well brings health, hope, and change — children can go to school instead of fetching water, families stay healthy, and farmers can grow crops to support their livelihoods. With your support, we can turn dry villages into thriving communities by providing the gift of clean water.
